WARRANTY POLICY

Road hazard damage such as hitting a curb or driving over a gutter can happen to anyone and sometimes results in tyre bulging, splitting as well as throwing your vehicle out of alignment. Besides road hazards and driving habits, examples of other causes of premature tyre wear are:

  • Warranty is valid for a period of 12 months from date of purchase and its non-binding to the company12 months from the date of purchase as specified on the original invoice/cash sale
  • Only in the event of a manufacturer defect determined within 3 months of purchase, the battery will be replaced fully for free. Replacement after 3 months will be on pro rata basis with the free portion being the remainder of time to expiry of warranty
  • For fully free replacements within the 3-month timeline, the warranty period for the new replacement battery will be the remaining duration of the original battery warranty. The original warranty will not be extended if non-industrial defective batteries are replaced or repaired
  • or batteries replaced on a prorate basis, the warranty will be valid for 12 months from the date of replacement
  • Claims should be raised only through dealer/retailer where the battery was purchased from.
  • Warranty will not cover batteries used in generators or other industrial equipment not intended for its use
  • A minimum of a 2-working day period is required to determine outcome of claim. In the interim, a service battery may be provided at the sole discretion of the company
  • Specialists will check the battery conditions using testing equipment to determine if it is adequately covered by the terms & conditions of the warranty; accordingly, the battery will either be recharged or replaced
  • The company reserves the right to determine whether the battery requires recharge and return or replacement
Exclusions
  • Non-manufacturer defects including, but not limited to, broken/fractured battery, damaged terminals, open seals, spillage of electrolyte, gassing and such like
  • Damaged/discharge resulting from incorrect application, mishandling, leaving on the ground, misuse, natural disasters or accidents
  • Damaged due to vehicle charging system failure, incorrect electrical supply, negligence, abuse, accidents, freezing, improper installation, e.g., used in vehicles designed to use start-stop batteries, EFB, AGM batteries, and other such like.
  • Overcharging the battery above the permitted level (in the case of an easy-to-open battery) leading to possibly swollen batteries
  • Battery theft
  • Installation of extra accessories in the vehicle other than original accessories, e.g., speakers, radios, etc.
  • Incomplete information on warranty card
  • Proprietary additional warranty issued by distributor is not covered under the T&C of this original warranty.
